Lothian.

Lothian is a region of the Scottish Lowlands, lying between the southern shore of the Firth of Forth and the Lammermuir Hills and the Moorfoot Hills. Lothian has 2 sub regions, East and West. East Lothian is officially the sunniest area of Scotland.  Its many attractions include 40 miles of coastline, an award-winning Scottish Seabird Centre, museums, horse racing and a whisky distillery.  In addition there are many pretty towns and villages with unique shops, galleries and eateries to explore. Located midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh, West Lothian has a rich and diverse history which includes prehistoric burial sites, palace ruins, castles and stately homes.  In addition it benefits from many golf courses, a sailing centre, excellent walking territory and a designer shopping outlet.
